Tiger in my Tummy
Eating breakfast may seem like a chore … until the tiger in your tummy starts to roar! What if skipping breakfast awoke a tiger! This imaginative story will inspire both children and adults to eat the most important meal of the day so they can keep the tigers in their tummies fed and happy.
This playful picture book reminds children to have a good meal to begin their day. Relatable and humorous, the story takes a common occurrence and brings each page to life with vibrant illustrations. Alliteration and an upbeat rhyming pattern keep the tone fun while still sharing an important message.
Harriet's Bad Hair Day
Harriet just knows that she will embarrass herself if she plays in today’s soccer game. Her unruly hair will get in the way, and then everyone will laugh at her. How can she trust her hair to stay put when it’s a mess before they even get out the door? Instead of telling anyone about her fears, Harriet shoves her hair under her cap and comes up with a plan to get out of the game. When they arrive late, Harriet is relieved. She’s ready to cheer on her teammates. But then she’s called to play in the game! Will she be brave enough to face her fears?
The Countries of Whine and Roses
The King of Roses rules his joy-filled and happy kingdom with his obedient son, the Prince of Roses. The king loves his people and he would do anything for them. He also loves the people in the neighboring country of Whine. But some of the people in Whine don’t want to hear about the kind king and his son and would rather complain and follow silly rules. The king refuses to give up on them and has come up with a plan . . . a plan that brings him and the prince great sadness. The people of both Whine and Roses learn just how much their king and prince are willing to give up for them. With the help of the invisible HS, they see that they are even prepared to take the ultimate risk. Readers, too, will see that our King loves us more than we can ever imagine and that he’s given us HS (Holy Spirit) as a reminder of that love.
Where Are You Going?
After losing her beloved grandfather, a little girl is reminded of many happy memories with him as she explores the outside world. Her keen observations share how God uniquely provides for each of his creations. She sees how even the tiny ladybug is given what it needs to survive, and discovers God cares for even the smallest of his creatures on earth. As she learns that God provides a place for us to join him when our time on earth is done-heaven-she finds the hope and comfort of knowing she can see her grandfather again.
Tender wording and a reassuring tone offer the hope only God can give while it guides children through the understanding of this difficult topic, and show God’s compassion and care for us is never ending.

Becoming The Best Me
Jill’s First Day of School: Based on a True Story of a Ten-Year-Old Deaf Girl
The first day at a new school can be very scary, especially when you are deaf and meeting classmates for the first time who don’t have any problem hearing each other.
Jill’s First Day of School tells a true story based on the life of a ten-year-old girl, born deaf, who is trying to fit into a hearing world that she will find full of challenges. Her courage and persistence, with the help of her mother and a special school called Central Institute for the Deaf (CID), give the ten-year-old the ability to succeed.
Overcoming anxiety (and a doubting new classmate) are all part of her experience. All is well when Jill returns home from school and gets a great surprise!
Jill’s success can be a model for every child facing their own worries in developing friendships and keeping a positive attitude.
Annie and Tony Wessler hope you enjoy their first book, based on stories told to Annie by her own mom about her sister Jill and CID.
